After my parents toured my Zürich, they headed off to the mountains for a couple of days while I finished up my work. Since the ACS conference is quickly approaching, I needed a little extra time at work.
I was able to hop on a train and meet my parents in Interlaken, which is close to where we were staying in Lauterbrunnen. My family first stayed in Lauterbrunnen when we were here in the summer of 2007, and Anne and I stayed there last fall during her visit. It truly is gorgeous, and well-worth multiple visits!
We spent our afternoon by the Brienzersee, sitting by the lake and enjoying the sun. I was so pleased that the weather finally took a turn for the better! Switzerland is (of course) totally beautiful even when it is 50's F and rainy, but it is truly unbeatable at 70's F and sunny!
