Operation "No flower left unphotographed" was a resounding success.

On our final day together, my parents and I decided to go to Monet's Garden. I was there earlier this year with the Pattons, and it really was one of my favorite things. It was pretty exciting to get to see it again, this time when the water lilies were blooming!

Of course, when you visit Monet's garden, everyone (including me) is there to get some nice photos of the garden and flowers, and it really did feel like everyone was doing their level best to make sure that no flower was left unphotographed by the end of the day. Now, that's a goal that I can get behind!

The waterlily pond was perfectly still, reflecting the trees and the cloudless sky above. It is a special and peaceful place, even with the hundreds of other people that were also in the garden with us.

It was a perfectly golden afternoon in a fabulous garden. The fall blooming flowers like dahlias and asters were so vivid and vibrant, and we really couldn't have had better weather. I thought it was the perfect way to end our time in Paris!

Day Three in Paris.

For our third day in Paris, mom and I did some shopping in the morning while dad went on a tour of the Paris sewers. To each their own, I guess!

We met up at the Arc de Triomphe around noon, took one look at the line to get up the Arc, and decided to move along.

We had a really nice lunch at a bistro with outdoor seating and watched Paris walk by before going to see the Eiffel Tower. The Eiffel Tower is really special: delicate and lacy, and at the same time massive and solid.

We also took a boat tour on the Seine that was one of the our favorite parts of our trip- sitting in sun on a boat, gliding through Paris.

Paris is such a beautiful city, and to see it on such a perfect day was a pleasure.
