Last Christmas present!

I just opened my last Christmas present, which was from the Pattons. Now I can keep Minnesota with me even in Zurich!

A Christmas-y weekend in Strasbourg.

It is a little weird to blog about something that happened a month ago, but maybe even stranger than it was a month ago! Time flies...

Anyways, I promised a snapshot of my weekend in Strasbourg, so I will attempt to provide one.

I had a truly lovely time visiting my dear friend Aurore, who I last visited in April. We had both gotten really busy, and this was the first time that finally worked for both of us. And, since Strasbourg is famous for its Christmas markets (and Zürich is not so much), I was really excited to be able to visit during the markets!

I arrived on Friday in the early evening, and Aurore met me at the station. Yay! We had a great dinner at an Alsatian restaurant in the old part of town, and it was quite enjoyable to walk around the city at night and take a peek at the different markets in the squares.

On Saturday we spent most of the day wandering around Strasbourg, visiting lots of the different stores and markets. Strasbourg really goes all out for Christmas, which I just love! We spent a quiet evening in, cooking a nice dinner and watching a movie.

On Sunday, we hit up the Christmas markets again, as I had mostly been window-shopping the day before and needed to actually make some purchases.

After the market, we had just enough time for a hot cup of tea to warm us up before I had to catch my train. It was a really nice weekend with a great friend!
