On 300 posts and my 3rd Knabenschiessen.

I just realized that today marks an anniversary of sorts... it is officially my third fall in Zürich, meaning that today is my 3rd Knabenschiessen! As I've noted before, this holiday is dedicated to boys and girls and a shooting competition. Gotta love Switzerland!

But, seriously, it's hard to believe that I've been living here for the better part of two years! I have learned so much and met so many fantastic people over these past few years. I am very thankful for all of my experiences. I know I've said it before, but some days I really can't believe how blessed I am to live in such a beautiful place. Whether I'm hiking in the incredible Alps or just visiting friends in France for the weekend, I sometimes have to pinch myself to assure myself that this is my real life. There was a point when I was sure that I would never live outside of Minnesota, but I'm so happy that I have. (Don't get me wrong- I still totally love Minnesota! I'm just very thankful to have the chance to live the adventure of life in a different country.)

Of course, it's not always rainbows and roses and fabulous mountains, and I often miss my family and friends quite a lot, but I am very thankful for the day that I came to Switzerland and fell in love with it.

Today also marks my 300th blog post! I don't have anything deep to say about that, but it is a cool milestone... Thanks to all of you who read about my life and adventures. I enjoy trying to capture my experiences and share them, and I appreciate knowing that you are out there, reading and (hopefully) enjoying them.
