My first museum visit in Switzerland.

Today, I went to my first museum since coming to Switzerland. I have no excuse, except that I'd much rather be outside and in the mountains than inside. I'm just not so much of the museum type. So, it took nothing less than a big Degas exhibition at the Fondation Beyeler and a bad weather Sunday to get me to go to a museum. Degas is one of my absolute favorite artists (as evidenced by the fact that the only non-IKEA framed art that I own are both Degas prints). I think it is so interesting to see his pastel work and all the different pencil strokes and shading up close and personal. Although I do think some of his ideas about what women do post-bath are funny- apparently writhing on the floor and sitting in contorted positions are the two most common activities... At any rate, I truly enjoyed the exhibit and am happy that I went!
