There was a path along the lake that we followed out onto a peninsula in the lake.
We found a bench and sat for a while, enjoying the sunset over the lake.
We ended up back by the docks closer to sunset. The lake was so still, and the light was pure gold. The boats and clouds were almost perfectly reflected in the lake and looked surreal.
The sunset at Derwentwater was one of my favorite things from our trip- so peaceful and golden!
